We went to Gua Niah on the 2nd day. We had to walk for more than 30 minutes to the cave. So far! And the bridges, the pathways are not stable at all. Not exactly. It was slippery cause it was raining when we were there. 6 of us were either holding umbrellas or wearing caps. Or both cause I did both. HAHA! I was scared that the birds will poop on my head & worms or beetles or slugs will just land on my head. pfftt.. gross.
Finally we reached the cave. FINALLY! And we had to walk somemore. I thought there'll be escalators to transport us to the other end of the cave. Pffttt. teehee. Obviously 2 torchlights and a phone were not enough for us. It would be pitch dark/black if it weren't for the 3 gadgets. Bats and swallows were everywhere. A bat was just beside me. Yes, BESIDE! And I didn't shriek cause it was hanging upside down. Sleeping I think. Shadows of birds & bats flying around, crickets and other insects roaming around the stairs. I'm not exactly scared of the dark, but with insects running around, I'm terrified. I seriously can pee in my pants but I only brought an extra shirt, so better not risk it.
Ok something INTERESTING happened to me:
We were walking in pairs and I was walking with mummy. Joey with Jia Xuan. I was pushing mummy up the stairs cause she was already tired. I was behind her and I saw something moving. She was holding the torch and I was literally blind. So I was stucked there and the double Js were behind me. I ran back to them like a lost child reuniting with her parents and my face was as white as sheet. BOTH OF THEM WERE SCARED OF INSECTS. NOW TELL ME HOW TO GET BACK UP THE STAIRS? Awesome right?
Joey: Where's the damn insect? Where is it? I cant see it!
I was finally brave enough*beauty queen wave* and walked past the cricket*bows*.And I left both of them behind, crying and shouting for help. HAHAHA SORRYYY! nahh they didnt cry. teehee. But it was fun. Having to encounter many weird insects, one is called hammer-head worm. The head of the worm is like the shark from Finding Nemo. Not the usual type of sharks. Like this >>>
The one we saw was in black & white. Very nice but gross and slimy. Imagine me holding it. Ok that is obviously not gonna happen cause it's Jamie Woo.
I think I have insect smell-.- We were all in the car on the way to Niah. Joey, JiaXuan and I were looking at pictures of food, and I thought I was salivating. I wiped off the saliva[wishful thinking lah] and I saw a WHITE cockroach near my mouth. OHMYGOSH. I didn't scream[I think I improved ALOT] and I threw it away. Wanted to crush it but I find it rare cause it's in white.
Used to be cat smell, now it's insect smell-.-
No more brain juice to squeeze.
